Friday, March 24th, Diggers donned green t-shirts, armed themselves with pizza and Italian sodas, and went into intellectual battle at Montana Tech’s 2nd Annual Library Lock-In. The scavenger hunt and social began at 6PM, leading seasoned pros, former library staff, and assorted students through a maze of knowledge and mind games.
Each round, pairs of participants were handed a list of 30 miscellaneous trivia questions and embarked on a race to discover the answers hidden in books strewn throughout the library. Questions ranged from random facts about Montana Tech, to Greek goddesses, and even to the topography of New Mexico.
Once the dust had settled, and everyone had their fill of free pizza and refreshments, the grand winners of the Library Lock-In were revealed. Daisy Margrave and Danielle Mee took home the first prize, $400 in hard earned Digger Dollars. By 10PM, everyone was awarded with a small take home prize of their choice, equipped with new knowledge of the secrets of Montana Tech, and released from the library.
The students of Montana Tech who participated in the Library Lock-In wanted to extend a huge thank-you to Scott Juskiewicz, the Library Director, and his team for preparing and presenting another year of eventful escapades. Also, thank you to Scott Forthofer, the Director of Residence Life, for serving fresh popcorn and Chi Alpha’s Naomi Schranz and Ashleigh Lieberman for pouring Italian sodas.
